I just learned that there are black barn owls! The mutation (melanism) is incredibly rare and practically never seen in the wild, mostly because any barn owl born with this condition is killed by the mother. Information discovered via this interesting article.

This is my freshly done representation of the Greek myth of Baucis and Philemon with a quote from Some Trees by John Ashbery. It was done by Steven Lam at Working Class Tattoo in Honolulu, HI. He was amazing and it only took about two and a half hours even with my ambivalence over completing the piece all in one session. I absolutely love it! :)
This is my third tattoo done in Porto Alegre in southern Brazil, in the Lucky Tattoo Studio. It is a part of the poem Bluebird, Bukowski’s. I did because in addition to loving the “Buko”, this verse has everything to do with my lifestyle.
